Bob helps the Buda Gearheads Car Club raise money for local high school scholarships!

Back in the early 2000s, Larry Larkin and a few friends started a tradition of hanging out in garages on Saturday nights and talking about their passion for American cars. Now, over 10 years later, you can find the Gearheads Car Club bench racing cars and sharing stories every Saturday in the Cabela’s parking lot in Buda, Texas. Their weekly car show is open to the public and the club is always accepting applications for membership.

Every October since 2008, the Gearheads have hosted a huge open car show. This year, the goal of the show was to raise money for technical scholarships for local students who wish to pursue a career in automotive technology. The club continually supports various scholarships for students and is well known for their charity in the local Buda high schools. Bob Baker of Bob’s Original™ Fender Covers has been a fan of the Gearheads for years and so he donated a couple of his unique fender covers to this event’s live auction.

This year’s show took place on October 18th, 2014 and raised a total of $10,000 for scholarships. The club grows stronger and bigger each year, and they would love for you to be a part of it! You can find out more information at Buda Gearheads Car Club.
